What Version of Alice in Wonderland is better?

Alice in Wonderland is a classic Disney film. The animated version came out in 1951. In 2010, a more modern version was released. The 1951 is a cartoon version. The 2010 version has people in it. The movies were made for different age groups. The cartoon version was produced by Walt Disney and the 2010 version was produced by Tim Burton.

In the 2010 version Alice was purposely brought to Wonderland because the people in Wonderland think she can save them from The Queen of Hearts. Throughout the whole movie, she thinks she is in a dream, but it actually wasn’t. She also finds out that it wasn’t her first time there either. This movie focuses a lot more on The Mad Hatter, the blue caterpillar and, some other characters that weren’t as significant in the cartoon version. This version also starts out a lot different. It starts with her at a party/ ball getting proposed to. This movie was a lot darker than the cartoon. The creatures in Wonderland weren’t very nice and almost all of them were mad. Most of the characters like Alice and try to help her succeed.

The cartoon/ 1951 version was a lot more fun and lighthearted. This movie was full of bright colors and funny characters. In this movie, Alice accidentally falls into a bunny hole and finds herself in Wonderland. She is unaware that it is a dream in this movie. Throughout this whole movie she wonders through Wonderland and unfortunately finds The Queen of Hearts. The characters in this movie are a lot meaner to Alice.

There are similarities in both movies, but overall, the movie's storylines are completely different. I liked both movies, but my favorite Alice in Wonderland is the cartoon version because the vibe of the movie is a lot better. Both of the movies involve the white rabbit being the reason that Alice goes to Wonderland. They also kept little details like Alice’s blue dress, the cake that makes people grow, and other things about Wonderland. I think people should watch the cartoon version first, because it is the original, then watch the other one after. It’s like reading a book then watching the movie. The cartoon Alice in Wonderland is just better, but I think everyone should watch both to make their own opinion and to compare the two movies for themselves.
