How To Occupy Time During Quarantine

Get Exercise/Get Outside

Getting outside and getting fresh air during this time is critical not only for our physical health but also mentally. Physically it can be great to get up out of bed or off that couch and get moving! Also mentally it can be a less stressful activity to take things off your mind. This follows the guidelines in the stay at home order if you’re only going out with your family and not with anyone else.

Bring Out Your Inner Baker

This is a great way to get away with time and also to make something delicious! Doing this with family can also make for family bonding. I mean come on, who doesn’t love a good brownie or cookie? I definitely have made brownies, cookies, and edible cookie dough, which is my favorite. I found my easy recipe off of Pinterest!

Clean

Nothing is a better feeling than having a nice and clean room. I’ve cleaned my room during this quarantine and it made my space so much less stressful. Not only cleaning your room could help but also helping around the house. Cleaning can be a great stress reliever. Especially mentally, cleaning can calm you down.

Draw/Paint

Taking the time to relax and just free hand a drawing or painting can really take the mind off these crazy times. It’s as easy as coloring in a coloring book or even just printing pages off. When coloring or painting the possibilities are endless. Just sitting down and letting your mind go free can be so relieving in a stressful time like now.
