Is Christmas Starting to Get Celebrated too Early?
As everyone knows, Christmas is one of the most favorite holidays of all. People tend to love the traditions that come along with Christmas. Such as, decorating the tree, frosting cookies, big meals, snow, and most of all giving gifts to people you love. However, is Christmas getting celebrated earlier and earlier each year?
Towards the end of the year and the beginning of the school year, most students are patiently waiting for the fun three holiday months known as October, November, and December. Of course, Halloween is celebrated in October and it’s fun for all ages to dress up in any type of costumes and get into the spooky vibes and do all the fun fall activities. These activities such as pumpkin carving and apple picking can still go on in November, but November is traditionally known to be the turkey month! Thanksgiving is a time to eat delicious food and spend quality time with family and friends, but as Thanksgiving gets closer and closer, people tend to be more excited to decorate for Christmas. As the years go by people are starting to decorate for Christmas before Thanksgiving is even celebrated, which triggers mixed emotions.
Unfortunately, Thanksgiving is losing its hype and is on the down low. Because people are overwhelmed with the thought of Christmas, they’re forgetting about Thanksgiving. Personally I LOVE Christmas but I think people can start decorating for Christmas after Thanksgiving so Thanksgiving can have it’s spotlight. Overall it just depends on who you are and what you like to do best because everyone celebrates differently.
