Is Black Friday Becoming Overrated
Grab the Turkey, hand the yams because the entertainment is about to begin. Black Friday is about the deals and the bonds you can build with your family. Black Friday can get very crazy sometimes because of people fighting over tvs or the best deals in stores. Going cane be exciting but this past year the game changed, the sales started at 6pm there was no waiting in long lines until 12pm like it used to be. On Thursday, November 27,2018 at 12:00pm the sales of Walmart would be open to the public. People outside with their tents and hot cocoa. The adrenaline pumping through your veins and the excitement of sales and money that will be saved on expensive things. Walmart had $300 TVs for $170.00. People were fist fighting and trampling over people just to get to those good deals. The deals the stores had were limited with each item. Therefore they only had 80 TVs in stock for the deals and the rest had to be sold full price after the time when out. Black Friday used to get there on time or no deals at all but now the game has changed.
November 28, 2019 the stores with the best deals start at 6pm. There were over a thousand of stores open at the same time and it made it very hard for one to get the sales due to only being at a place at a time. If you were going with multiple people it would be easier because splitting up and tackling all the stores with the best deals all at once. The times are not scattered out like it used to be. Also a down fall to deals starting at 6pm there isn't time for a nice warm meal its rushed now. A yearly Black Friday shopper, Jeremy Birkhimer states, “Black Friday isn't the same no more there is not fun, we didn't see crazy people and we didn't even get to enjoy our Thanksgiving meal. We were rushing around trying to get to the stores in time. I would have been better off shopping online so it's guaranteed and I would get to enjoy my Thanksgiving with family.” Black Friday isn't the same no more a lot of people are giving up and doing Cyber Monday sales. This year researchers found that 9.4 Billion was spent online during the Cyber sales because the changing of shopping environment, it seems more people are using online shopping or do things after sales hit. Cyber Monday starts the Monday after Thanksgiving, it gives online shoppers to have the chance to get additional deals only line. Nowadays most people don't have interest of physically going to the stores so customers do it online. Sometimes the deals are a lot better when online, you get more for the price of one and free shipping.
