Top 10 list on How to Have a Great Homecoming

  1. Plan ahead. You don’t want to have to be stressed on Homecoming day because you didn’t make any arrangements. For example...dinner reservations, appointments.

  2. Find a date or even a group of friends to enjoy Homecoming with. If you would prefer to go alone do it, make it how you want it. Overall more people go in groups to take pictures and eat together but once they get to the dance they disperse through the room.

  3. Get an outfit. You don’t need to spend your whole wallet to look good. Make sure your outfit is comfortable, it will be no fun if you have to keep worrying if your outfit gets messed up. There are many places to get an outfit like Universal Bridal, Windsor, Macy’s, or even borrow from a friend.

  4. Figure out where you want to eat, it could be at home or at your favorite restaurant. Sometimes the restaurants are very packed so maybe even order out. Many people go to Texas Roadhouse, Olive Garden, Long Horns, Tumbleweed, or even McDonald's.

  5. Take lots of pictures. The more pictures will be more memories you get to cherish. Besides you got all dressed up, so might as well get some good photos. Some people might even get formal pictures taken by a real photographer.

  6. Figure out how your getting to and from the dance, you don’t want to be late or stuck at the school after everyone has left. Sometimes when you go in a big group they get a limo or party bus, which would always be fun.

  7. Don’t let petty friend drama ruin your homecoming, it is supposed to be a fun night where the whole school comes together.

  8. Dance how you want. Don’t let people judge you on the way you decide to dance. Just do you. This dance is for everyone and we don’t want anyone to feel left out.

  9. Figure out what you’re going to do after the dance, are you going over to a friends house to dance more or will you be so tired you want to go home and sleep.

  10. Cherish these moments. You only have four homecoming dances, make the best of each and every one of them.
