It can be your normal typical day, you could be out having the time of your life and it hits you out of nowhere. The blink of an eye your child is gone. when it comes to driving new experiences and techniques behind the wheel teens often become the subject.

The age rate of teen drivers to get in some kind of accident is from ages 16 to 19. The number of teens that are driving is rapidly decreasing due to the causes of accidents. Here in licking county we had 2 tragic deaths that had invalid driving. In both accidents overcorrecting was the cause and they were single vehicle accidents. We don't know what exactly happened, it could have been a lot of things. But due to these accidents that are happening so close to home. Its making people more aware of their safety behind the wheel and all the accidents that are happening around the world are sending messages to young kids and adults.

Before we get our driver's license we are required to have 50 hours of driving time with a parent. In some studies they believe that if we up the age or the experience behind the wheel the rate of death in teens would decrease majorly. In some cases 50 hours isn't enough for someone to have enough experiences. With driving school they go over the lesson you have to have to be experienced but that still doesn't mean we're all fully experienced. We need to have more of a widespread when it comes to teen driving. What does teen driving really mean? What does it mean to you?

When certain situations occur on the road, teens need to be more aware of their actions whether it's messing with the radio, phone or anything that's distracting. Seatbelts are also big. Some people believe seatbelts are more prone to hurt the person than to protect them. In some accidents teens are wearing their seatbelts but it doesn't necessarily save their lives. Sometimes seat belts choke the person cuts in their lower half damaging organs. Its devastating that what we thought was going to save us is only going to hurt us.

To help better teen drivers family, friends, instructors need to enforce the rules,so teens don't face the consequences. We do have good programs out there that covers some but not all.
