Senior Spotlight: Allyson Bruner

After twelve long years, the time has finally come. After twelve years of tests, presentations, events, and much more, the Class of 2019 is graduating at last. Since Kindergarten, every student has dreamt of the day they finally graduate and move on from High School to the next chapter of their lives. Each senior student has had different experiences, and each one has different wisdom to share with the world. I was able to interview senior Allyson Bruner, who has only days before she finally completes High School. From this interview came valuable knowledge that every student, Elementary, Middle, and High School alike can learn from:

Me: How are you doing in your final days of High School?

Allyson: I am caught up on all of my work.

Are you stressed?

I am not stressed.

On a scale of 1-5, how ready are you to graduate?

Five, but if I could go above the scale, I would.

What is your favorite memory from High School?

My favorite memory would be when I was Flounder in the 2019 musical.

What is your favorite school lunch?

My favorite school lunch is LV Bowls.

What will you miss most about High School?

I will miss the relationships I made with the people in High School.

Do you bring something (snacks, phone, water bottle, etc.) every day to get you through the day?

Mainly my water bottle, and I pack my lunch so that I don’t spend too much on lunch.

Can you share one piece of senior wisdom to pass along to the underclassmen?

You don’t have to have your life figured out by senior year, just stop and take a breath.

What are your plans after High School?

My plans are to work and save up money.

What are you most excited about for the future?

I am excited to travel with my best friend in a year.

Thank you so much! Congratulations on graduating!

Thank you! Have an amazing senior year!

The journey that is our schooling experience is about to end. As the curtains close for our seniors’ High School adventure, new ones open for the rest of their lives. The wisdom and knowledge they have gained throughout the last decade of their lives are sure to travel with them to any path they may choose. Graduating and saying goodbye to the people and places you have come to love is sure to be sad, but as countless people say around the world, “Don’t cry because it’s over, smile because it happened.”
