It’s 3:40 pm and you just got off the school bus. You run into the house, throw down your bookbag and turn on the television. Everyday after school your favorite shows would be on Disney Channel. Shows including, Wizards of Waverly Place, Suite Life of Zack and Cody and Hannah Montana. Selena Gomez, Cole and Dylan Sprouse and Miley Cyrus (plus many more) were our childhood stars that we loved so dearly. But the question now is, where are they now?

Selena Gomez

Then: We used to know her as Alex Russo from Wizards of Waverly Place. She played the troublemaker new wizard who had a lot to learn from her picture perfect older brother and wizard dad.

Now: Selena moved on from Disney Channel to join The Scene which was her band after Wizards of Waverly Place. However, by now Selena has left The Scene and has become a single artist who has many chart topping hits.

Miley Cyrus

Then: We used to know her as Hannah Montana, the pop star by night and the simple California girl by day. Miley was one of the more favored Disney stars as her character Hannah Montana even did a tour of her own.

Now: Miley has continued to work on her music and acting since Hannah Montana has ended and now is a judge on the tv show The Voice.

Cole Sprouse

Then: Formerly known as Cody from Suite Life of Zack and Cody, Cole Sprouse acted alongside his twin brother Dylan Sprouse for their roles as rambunctious kids living in a hotel. The boys lived in The Tipton hotel with their single mother who was working as a singer at the hotel’s dinner shows.

Now: After taking a break from acting (attending NYU for four years) Cole is back on the screen in the hit tv show Riverdale. Cole was also recently cast in the movie Five Feet Apart where he plays a teen boy living in a hospital with Cystic Fibrosis.

Ashley Tisdale

Then: At first we knew her as Maddie from Suite Life of Zack and Cody as she acted alongside Cole Sprouse. She played as a friend of the twins who worked at the concession stand in the hotel lobby. But more often than not, she is recognized as Sharpay Evans from High School Musical. Ashley played Sharpay, the fashionable antagonist of East High.

Now: Ashley now has a few acting jobs here and there on television but has launched her own cosmetics line Illuminate which has kept her pretty occupied.

Zac Efron

Then: Troy Bolton aka every girls dream guy. Zac played Troy Bolton alongside Ashley Tisdale in High School Musical. He was the star basketball player who broke the status quo by trying out for the spring musical and dating the new smart girl.

Now: Zac hung up his singing hat for a while but threw it back in the ring as he stared in The Greatest Showman in 2017. He also in major movies including Baywatch, Neighbors and an upcoming film in which he plays Ted Bundy.

Thankfully most of our childhood Disney stars can still be scene or heard on either the television, movie screen or the radio. Time may pass and we may no longer watch our classic shows anymore but we will all remember the actors and actresses who made our lives just a little bit more fun.
