Lil Haley

Driving down the road is always an adventurous ride with Haley Trusler, “Lil Haley.” A very fond memory that I have with her is when Jasmin, Lil Haley and I were just driving in downtown Newark, going around the roundabouts, when an ambulance came out of nowhere, screaming sirens, us trying to move out of the way. In the process of trying to pull into Wendy’s, we hit the curb and flattened her right front tire. We all thought that we just hit the curb extremely hard, so we continued on our way to Lil Haley’s house. Her mom was not very happy to see the tire when we got back.

Haley is one of the most interesting friends that I have, just because she does not care what anyone thinks about her or has to say, she just goes on with her day.

One of the best stories Lil Haley ever had to tell is about the day when she was in lunch and was put in an after school work program for a week. We all figured it was just her attendance, because she never did come to school, and if she did, she was never on time. She began telling us why she had a week of after-school, and it turned out it wasn’t because of her attendance…it was because she thought it would be fun to throw not one carrot, but throw each and every one of the carrots and some girl’s head that she didn’t even know. Long story short, she still thought it was funny at the end of the day.

School is pretty boring now, Haley ended up getting suspended and none of us have seen her since. But I’m guessing she’s keeping it pretty interesting at McDonalds on Church Street.
