March For Our Lives

On March 24th, the March For Our Lives Event will take place. This event, spawned from the numerous school shootings in America throughout the past few years, will gather people from all around the world to march for stricter gun laws.

Organizing this event are five students from the recent Parkland School Shooting, Jacqueline Coren, Emma Gonzalez, Cameron Kasky, David Hogg, and Alex Wind.

People from everywhere in the world, including the UK, Spain, Italy, Japan, India, and many others have organized events for their own communities. The central march will take place at 12:00 p.m. in Washington D.C.

Celebrities who’ve confirmed attendance are Jimmy Kimmel, who says he’ll be marching alongside his wife and daughter, comedian Chelsea Handler, and Julianne Moore. Others, such as George Clooney and his wife, Amal, have donated $500,000 to March For Our Lives. Other donors include Oprah Winfrey, Steven Spielberg, Ellen DeGeneres, Chrissy Teigen, and John Legend.

The Newark March For Our Lives event will take place at 2:00 p.m. at a yet to be determined location.
