Gun Policies
Should it be legal for a student freshly out of high school, who has a violent past in school, to buy a gun? Campus Safety statistics show that 95% of the school shootings are students currently in the high school or freshly graduated. That is almost all of the school shootings, so I believe students should be made to wait four years after they’re graduated to legally buy a weapon. Maybe by the end of the four years they’d lose a lot, if not all, of the hate towards the people they’ve previously gone to school with.
This year there have been multiple school shootings or even weapons brought on school grounds. In order to slow down the tendency of weapons showin
g up in schools, students with a violent past should be restricted from buying weapons for four years after graduation.
Students with violent histories shouldn’t be allowed to buy weapons is because most school shootings are angry students or freshly graduated. If they were legally not allowed to buy a weapon at the age of 18, that would slow down the frequency of school shootings or gun threats.
If you are recently out of high school or still a student, you should be made to wait four years after graduation if you have a violent history. Within the four years you might learn to get over the hate that you have for the students or the school, and learn there’s a whole life after high school drama.
