Biggest American Win in CS:GO History

When I first had bought CS:GO, I had no idea about the pro scene and Cloud9. But just recently I had watched the Boston ESL ELeague 2018 Major and watched Cloud9 slowly claw their way up to the spot as Champions. Cloud9 had to face many difficult and challenging teams to make their way to the top (Like Virtus Pro, Fnatic, FaZe, etc). The Final teams had a close game that went into overtime and was finished off at FaZe 19 - Cloud9 22.

The reason a lot of people hear talk about this tournament final is because they were the 1st American team to win a major Major. Also, Cloud9 is the first American team to win a major ESport event. The tournament has brought a lot of players to CS:GO or has brought them back to CSGO to watch the tournament. According to CSGO’s website, there are now 12 Million unique players this month.

The things that I’ve lear

ned from watching Cloud9 are tips and tricks to use in MatchMaking. Like their Rifler, Stewie2k. I’ve used his trick to push through smokes and get frags on unsuspecting people. Cloud9’s AWPer, Skadoodle I admire because when playing as a team in CSGO, I am the AWPer and I use his tricks like pushing through smokes while flashing to get the upper hand in a firefight.

Throughout the major, Cloud9 has seen their ups and downs to reach this spot in the major. During a match against Space Soldiers, Space Soldiers closed the map with an ACE by paz. And during the final, Cloud9 had to win the next two maps in order to win the Major and prevent FaZe from winning the major. This was the complete story of the best and most nail-biting Major in Counter-Strike history.
