Licking Valley Beat Watkins

The Licking Valley Girls basketball team played at the Quicken Loans Arena against Watkins Memorial High school January 20th 2018. The Panthers fought hard and came back from a 18 point lead by the Warriors. They brought home the win with a final score of 56-48.

The game started off a little rough but the Panthers never gave up. The Warriors took the lead in the first quarter, but the Panthers overcame an 18 point deficit and won by 8. It was such a big win for the girls because it was on the Cavs floor and they have been wanting a win.

Quicken Loans lets two teams play there after a Cavs game every year. The Licking Valley girls got the opportunity to play against Watkins. Watkins invited Valley to play there with them. It was a great opportunity and unforgettable for all the players, fans, and coaches.

The Valley girls say the win isa memory that will last forever and means a lot to the team and that a big win like that on the Cavs floor is pretty cool.

Valley students should appreciate and recognize the event because It was their girls basketball team that had this opportunity. This year’s team is the first to experience a game like this, and they came out with the win.
