Call of Duty Resurgence
The Call of Duty franchise has evolved over the years, but finally they have gone back to their roots. The change seems to be working.
The numbers of sale has doubled since last year. Fortune agrees that “Call of Duty: WWII returns the franchise to its roots and the results are incredible.” Sledgehammer Studio worked up the game for almost a year.
The game returning to its roots made improvements to the franchise. Call of Duty WWII stripped down to the basics, according to Forbes “There are no more ultimate charge-up moves like we’ve seen in the past couple games.” This Call of Duty game is the most basic game to play in recent years.
Dislike playing multiplayer, then sit back, relax, and enjoy the wonderful campaign mode this year. The campaign is filled with drama and excitement. Task and Purpose says the campaign “drama is one way to get a player interested in a storyline, and it probably takes less work than developing solid game mechanics.” The creators of Call of Duty took time to detail and perfect the life-like scenarios.
The Call of Duty creators might be able to take another step forward after this year. They have learned what the community wants within the game and are taking the opinions into consideration when producing.
