Music in the Valley

In late September at Licking Valley High School, there was a survey allowing students to share their favorite music genres and artists. The survey let high schoolers learn artists as well as giving them an opportunity to share new music with others.

Out of 75 responses, a majority of students voted rap, rock, pop, and alternative as their favorite genres.The remaining students gave genres. Out of 75 responses, the four most popular bands/artists chosen were Post Malone, 21 Savage, Machine Gun Kelly and Nirvana as the top four favorite artists.

Other popular artists are The Arctic Monkeys, Atilla, Pearl Jam, Alice in Chains, Pierce the Veil, Memphis May Fire, Rascal Flatts, Blake Shelton, and Ariana Grande. Musicians including My Chemical Romance, Panic! at the Disco, Bob Seger, Kid Rock, Khalid, Taylor Swift, All Time Low, Justin Bieber, The Weeknd, Iron Maiden, and Green Day, also received votes.
